From before I can remember I would sit at the kitchen table devouring bags of chips while reading books. So I'm smart but I am a dork and I have a big ass. I feel like this was not a good plan.

If it's possible get the snack food out of the house, at least until the urge gets a little less overwhelming. I did that back in January, it's been a great change. Now carrots are my snack food, I know it sound trite but really I crave them as much as Doritos. The Ninjahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12606292314406371281noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5733642788093921495.post-72958396497069236332011-04-20T21:58:34.874-07:002011-04-20T21:58:34.874-07:00I do the same thing when I get home from work. That way I don't walk in the door starving to death.135by2012https://www.blogger.com/profile/07829398070279577230noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5733642788093921495.post-70548380204801784522011-04-20T20:41:49.350-07:002011-04-20T20:41:49.350-07:00I have been having the same problem, I try to chew...I have been having the same problem, I try to chew gum and drink lots of water.Steph @ Thoughts From Calihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07940794247085639953noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5733642788093921495.post-91224000623512374922011-04-20T16:07:59.996-07:002011-04-20T16:07:59.996-07:00For me, when I lost a bunch of weight on Medifast,...For me, when I lost a bunch of weight on Medifast, i realized that it was the fact that I was paying for it(we pinch pennies) and it made me not cheat. And once I got a chunk of weight off it kept me motivated. I actually saw so many differences in me(not jsut the scale number). I lost pretty quick on that plan. I came off the plan and didnt gain much at all. I just went back on to get the last 20 lbs off. It is a rigid plan and there isnt much room for cheating, and for me, its not an option since I am paying for it! I still have to feed the family their food but overall, I dont mind bcause I know its only temporary. and I am not wasting any of the food I bought because I know which stuff is my favorite this time. I never thought that I would need something so rigid to get the weight off. Another lesson learned about myself along this journey. My point is, that you will hit your point, like I did and the motivation will come. You will find what works for you. Hang in there! I think that pic is nice!

Jennifer
http://wecanlosethepounds.blogspot.com/Jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10263019567597636980noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5733642788093921495.post-82490238092067516182011-04-20T08:42:18.656-07:002011-04-20T08:42:18.656-07:00Snacking can be hard - but if you pack some good s...Snacking can be hard - but if you pack some good snacks for yourself during the day, the temptation to snack when you get home - sometimes I save my apple for the drive home - gives me that little bit of fullness before I walk in the door and have to deal with dinner, homework and what not...a good glass of water also helps, too. A crock pot can become your best friend if you prepare it at night. I imagine you are hungry when you get home, the kids want your attention and you're TIRED! My married daughter is lucky; son-in-law does all the grocery shopping and cooking. She is the man bread earner though. You don't want to gain any of the weight you lost- I have been maintaining but it's my own fault! I need to heed my own advice.NANhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01809533152358579455noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5733642788093921495.post-86784307184934998882011-04-19T16:08:42.434-07:002011-04-19T16:08:42.434-07:00Does it help to have a plan for what to snack on? ...Does it help to have a plan for what to snack on? Snacking isn't necessarily the problem, it's what you snack ON. If you are snacking on a veggie tray or some apple slices, it's not that big of a deal. Granted, I know that the salty crackers and stuff like that is what you WANT to snack on (don't we all) but that's where having a plan helps.Debbi Does Dinner Healthyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11091564423796146580noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5733642788093921495.post-49631223767957088912011-04-19T15:52:38.835-07:002011-04-19T15:52:38.835-07:00I have a love/hate relationship with "fat fac...I have a love/hate relationship with "fat face" pictures. Unless she is completely unaware of that, I can completely understand how you are feeling about it.
