I decided to not own a scale: the only time I get on one is once a week at the WW meeting.
Also, I don't control what the scale shows. I control what foods I eat and the intensity of my exercise. So, I try not to stress about things I can't control, and only deal with the things I can.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5733642788093921495.post-62683369644159088392011-02-05T17:14:14.100-08:002011-02-05T17:14:14.100-08:00I know it's frustrating and I've said almo...I know it's frustrating and I've said almost the exact same words. One thing I do know is that I would most likely get to the 400 lb mark if I kept eating McDonald's or fast food in general. Hang in there and make this your life long way of eating. It seems to make it easier. Set an alarm, get up & pee - then weigh yourself right away. You might find that you are under 300 one of those days and just having that information can push you forward. :-)

You CAN DO IT!!!!!!Laniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15438241075767655180noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5733642788093921495.post-90342538620909721452011-02-04T19:54:11.604-08:002011-02-04T19:54:11.604-08:00"Maybe I'm just stressing too much?"..."Maybe I'm just stressing too much?" Probably. I know that I can be doing everything "right" on food intake and exercise and just stall with weight loss, and when I look back it is usually a period of higher stress. Stress makes your body say, "Hang on to the fat we might need it!" Maybe try some mediation or deep breathing exercises....or even better get a massage!

It's sooo hard, but you've got this!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5733642788093921495.post-56921066424426997102011-02-04T14:01:19.596-08:002011-02-04T14:01:19.596-08:00Hang in there! Girl, weight loss is the friggin' pits, but we NEED to do it. If you put it off, it will only get harder as you get older. If you don't want to try structured, maybe play around with your food or exercise one week and see what happens...maybe you need a different combo of food groups, or different types of exercise...

Polar's Mom
www.polarspage.blogspot.comPolar's Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10714065039614278619noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5733642788093921495.post-38174643973801646922011-02-04T10:55:24.136-08:002011-02-04T10:55:24.136-08:00Don't let that happen to yourself. I have also heard people have great success when they stop setting numbers as their goal, and make their goal to go the whole week without cheating on their diet and things like that. I never weigh, I guess I just try to look at this way of eating/moving as a life long deal. I know obsessing over results and progress can get ya though. Usually my motto is just look the other way and keep doing the right thing...sooner or later it WILL pay off. Sometimes for me nothing seems to be happening for weeks then Woosh, I notice changes. Keep on fighting!arielcircleofninehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11273972031512498463noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5733642788093921495.post-39706600077500173912011-02-04T09:56:42.292-08:002011-02-04T09:56:42.292-08:00It's not that easy to give up. If you give up your are making the choice to take away from your kids an active mom. When you give up you are making the choice to stop believing in yourself. That's an awful lot to accept. If you keep going now you will truly be able to say that you are a fighter and you deserve every single pound lost.
I found myself slipping away simply because I'm tired of being on a diet but now it's just time for me to dig my heals in deep . I had to ask myself was I really trying? It really helped to take a few days of carefully tracking what I ate without restriction to see that I wasn't doing as well as I thought. I was eating 1,600 a day. I know that doesn't sound bad but at 162 pounds that's maintenance calories not weight loss.
I don't know what your method is but I would like to suggest you use livestrong.com to recalculate your calorie needs. Track all your nutrients for a few days at your current eating habits and she how you stack up compared to what livestrong suggest for you. Maybe you are doing well on calories but eat too much sodium and carbohydrates. What ever you do don't give up because I want nothing more then to see you succeed.Vagabonds Mercantilehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03810766586409920216noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5733642788093921495.post-60003908492843333332011-02-04T09:52:39.472-08:002011-02-04T09:52:39.472-08:00Oh I know the power of the number on the scale. The emotional rollercoaster won't get any better there, trust me, it will get worse. Keep it up and it WILL change.
