Guess who got a hair cut

I have a love hate relationship with my hair.  It's very thick and heavy, but I'm so hair challenged that all I do is put it in a pony tail.  After much thinking, I decided to cut it.  I searched "short hairstyles" on the net and went to the salon with my Mom and the following picture.

Cute, right?!?  It frames her face and isn't too short.  I was excited until she stylist chopped off my hair.

Can you see the fear in my eyes?  I was texting my best friend and cousin about how I wasn't sure if this was a good idea.  I was on the verge of tears.  Their advice was to tell her to stop.  How do you tell someone to stop cutting your hair when you've already committed?  It's not like she could glue my long locks back into place.  So, I ended up with a little boy's haircut.  I went into the bathroom after and took this.

Not happy!  Mom and I drive back to her house and my brother immediately says, "What the hell happened to your hair?  I hate it!"  Mom says I need to take a real picture....not a mug shot.  This is the picture that I took.

I look happy, right?  I'm still getting used to my new hair.  I still think it's way to short and most days I feel like a little boy.  I just keep repeating to myself "It's just hair, it will grow back".

I have serious haircut phobia. I actually have anxiety attacks before I get a hair cut. The reason? I have gotten way too many shitty haircuts for one person to have possibly gotten in such a short amount of time. I can't even tell you the amount of bad, really bad, super embarrassingly bad haircuts I've had. With that said, I love your haircut! I think it's ultra cute!

I had a nightmare of a haircut once and I do not every want to do that again. My regular girl was out so I used another young girl and she cut and cut until I had to ask her to stop. Hubby like to have had a stroke. Taught me something though, now I always wait on my regular girl. I do love your hair though and it looks great on you.

I like it! It will take you some time to get used to it, but it looks like a fun and sassy look- I hope you grow to like it too!

While it is shorter than what you asked for it is really cute on you!

Actually it is cute and stylish! My oldest DD has long blond hair that she refuses to have cut. It is pretty but she spends a lot of time 'fiddling' with it and well, she is habitually late heehee. She hasn't had her cut besides a trim for 0ver 20 years! I pretty much have the same'do' I have had since the 60s hahaha but it's easy for me- a bob with side swept bangs. I am no very adventuresome when it comes to hair so you are to be admired.

I am so afraid to cut my hair above my shoulders. and even when i get a new style/look i end up going back to styling it the same withing 2 weeks.

I really like your hair i think its cute - and i wouldnt call it a boy cut!

I think your hair is super cute on you... short hair suits you. But the stylist did NOT do the same cut as in the picture. It will grow out, and you can go to a different stylist if you still really want the same cut as in the picture.
I probably would have complained that she
1)cut it shorter than you had requested, and 2)it's not even close to the same cut you requested.
Bottom line... you look awesome and all that good stuff.

From a guy perspective, I love it! I wouldn't be sitting around lamenting the haircut you have, you are rocking it!

I actually love it. It shows off your highlights in your hair and will be so easy to care for this summer. Your hair looks so smooth, shiny and healthy! Hair grows fast, so if you still feel uncomfortable with it, it will pass. Until then, rock it because you are beautiful!!!!

I can see where it is hard to get used to but it frames your face nicely. Before, you kinda had hair like mine that just hangs, this is a nice style. I do admit, I would like to see a similar cut with maybe a couple more inches but that won't take long. I'm just saying that because I know that *I* would freak out if my hair was that short. I do SERIOUSLY think it's cute though and it does NOT look like a boy cut.

I like it, but then again I am a proponent of short hair on girls. (My hair is that short afterall) but I do think the stylist cut it too short compared to your reference.

But it is hair, and it will grow back, if you are really selfconcious you can buy some extensions from a hair supply store and play with them. They are fun!

personally.. I think it makes your lips stand out (good feature of yours)... very cute.. I think if you pull the large side of the part forward with a straightener.. kind of in your face.. instead of lifted at the roots.. you hair will be really close to the picture.. surprised the stylist didn't do that. I'm terrified of cutting my hair short! but I WANT to ya kno?
