Hot 100 Update Week 6

It's Friday ya'll!  I've been obsessive over the scale this week.  I jump on with clothes, without clothes, in the morning, at lunch, at night, before a poop, after a poop, with water, without water, you get the idea.  After today's weigh in I have chosen to hide the scale.  If it isn't easily accessible then it won't be such a temptation to jump on every 5 minutes.  In the end, maybe I won't beat myself up over it 20 times during the day!

Goal #1 Lose 20 pounds - I weighed in at 319.2 this morning which is a big whopping loss of one pound this week.  I'm pissed!  Sure a loss is a loss is a loss, but I worked my big ole butt off all week for one freakin' pound?

Goal #2 Read more to the kiddos - We read everyday this week!  I have to admit that there were a couple of days that I really wasn't in the mood, but those two little boogers bugged the shit out of me until I gave in.  Gotta love them.

Goal #3 Exercise for at least 20 minutes 3 times a week - 6 days this week all over 30 minutes!  Sunday the hubby and I walked over 6 hours.  How did I do that you may ask?  We went to the Texas Renaissance Faire in the morning where all you do is walk and then we took the kids trick or treating that night.  I tried to change up the exercise this week too.  Instead of just walking around the neighborhood I played basketball with the hubby and also gave the bike another chance.

There you have it!  Another week done with 8 more weeks to go.

***Edit***  2 hours after I weighed myself, I jumped on the scale again.  BUT WAIT!  I was attempting to hide the stupid thing and thought "just one more time before next Friday".  It said 316.8.  I've totally confused myself!

I love !!!! and use them more than neccessary. The one pound got to me because of all the work I put in this week. It sucks trying so hard to get such a little result. But that's life! I will move on. :)

I do the same thing on the scale. I'll weigh myself at night and then think, "ok, so am I going to pee out that 3 lbs, weight gain tonight?" It does get obsessive. I think it's okay as long as you are continuing to eat right and stay obsessive about THAT too. Don't worry about the fluctuations. It gets weird that way.

I used to have a scale, that if I got on it and weighed 250. I would weigh 250 for the next 5 - 10 minutes no matter what I did. I would pick up a glass of water or pick something mildly heavy and it would still say 250. Like it was telling me "go with what I first told you and don't get back on me until tomorrow!". I swear it had a mind of it's own!

Just stick with what you're doing and you will be rewarded. Don't worry about what the scale tells you. Your kids are super cute by the way! I so love those pictures!

The fickle scale- we have all been there. My scale keeps track for 4 persons and I can weigh on everyone and get a different number! I am betting you lost the higher number so congratulate yourself and ditto from moi!

I can't tell you how happy I am to know I'm not the only one that weighs "before a poop, after a poop" some days!! A girl's just gotta know! I think the 1 lb is great, and you DID get into the hawt boots! That's a double whammy of awesome-sauce!!!!!! <-- extras just for you ;)

Good luck figuring out the mysteries of the scale. Truly, if you do the right things, the results will come. As you said, a loss is a loss. Appreciate them all. They are much better than gains. :-)

I used to weigh myself all the time too, but now I just do once a week - too many variables from day to day, and I am trying not to let the scale rule how well I am doing! :D

You ROCKED this week!!
How wonderful that your children want to be read to. You've obviously done something right with that already.
As for the confusion with the scale... what can I say, the scale is a master of mind games.

I was going to ask if you weighed before and after a bowel movement -- Mrs. D - I do that too sometimes!

Just letting you know, Jayne, that it was after. LOL
