Growing up, my brother and I never went trick or treating with my parents. When we were old enough to complain about the injustice of the candy situation they took us to the grocery store and let us each pick out a bag of candy. Maybe that's why it's so important for me to take the boys. I want them to have that memory of dressing up and us all walking around the neighborhood as a family.
They had a blast and that's all that matters to me!
Youngest is a ninja, Hubby as a pirate, Oldest is a Zombie
I tried to find a Pink Power Ranger costume. Really, I did. Instead I went as mean ole Mom.
Let the fight between the ninja, pirate, and zombie begin! Who will win?

Only Two pieces, way to go!
Funny how so many of us who ate the candy say that it wasn't all that good.
I've read that on alot of blogs today about the candy not being good. Wonder what's up with that.
I resisted and am so proud I was telling cashiers this morning when I shopped for Halloween bargains LOL. I did find a couple of cool Wilton pans and sent my DD some butterfingers in her cookie package. We always went trick or treating as kids but with friends. My husband took our kids and I handed out candy. Now we have Thanksgiving to contend with but I am STAYING ON COURSE! You can too! Your Halloween pics are cute.
Two pieces? wow...you did better than me!

Love, love the photos. Your kids look so happy (which is a dumb thing to say when I can't see their faces, duh!) I should say they look excited, I guess :)
You did WELL having only a coupld of pieces of candy. I don't know if I would have done as well. Two pieces usually ends up being just the appetizer for me. We don't get kids in our neighborhood - the roads aren't very kid-friendly; that saved me from having to buy any. Now I just have to stay away from the 50% off sales!
I think having only two pieces is great. Love the pictures. My son dressed up as a ninja too. :)
great costumes! Love the kids and hubby pics -- nothing like family time. trick or treating are the best kid memories ever, so good for you for getting out there with them. Two pieces of candy is very good in the big scheme. Hope you have a great week!
Looks like they had a blast!! My son was a ninja too! I think just 2 pieces is great, I could have eaten a whole bag last Halloween!
I'm a bit partial to pirates myself but I'm going to have to say the zombie wins! And congrats on your self control!
I tagged you in a fun game: http://ahippowithaheadband.blogspot.com/2010/11/ive-been-tagged-by-jenn.html
So I've been getting some comments from you and seen you around, but hadn't been reading you until now. I'll be checking in on you now, even though you're and AGGIE. Blech. But we can unite against the evil orange herd. Ha ha ha. They lost to BAYLOR. Hee hee hee hee.
I loved the pics. I can tell you one thing, stuff tastes different. I tried one bite of my used to be fav, Reese and spit it out. Too sweet.
