Challeging myself

We have two major events coming up that have been weighing on my mind lately.  Therefore, I'm challenging myself to reach a certain weight loss goal.  The calendar is marked and I'm determined to succeed.  There is only one winner in this competition and that is ME!
#1 - Hubby and I will celebrate our first anniversary on Feburary 14th.  He told me the other day that he wants to make it "special" and is planning something huge.  I would like to lose 10 pounds by that time, that's 5 weeks.  I would be at my lowest weight since who knows when AND be under 300 pounds.  My reward is to get a nice dress for our evening.

#2 - See that lovely couple up there?  That's our best friends who will be tying the knot on April 9th.  They have graciously asked Hubby to be the best man.  I would like to lose 25 pounds before their special day.  That would put me at 284 and a total of 51.4 pounds down!  My reward?  Another dress of course!

Even though I had a melt down today about the number on the scale I'm going to continue to do the work that I put in this week.  I'm determined that these goals will be met; I will do this!  And the reward to buy two pretty new dresses is such an awesome motivation!!!

Hey, one of my motivations is a future wedding also! Mine's in May, which also happens to be the end of two challenges I am currently on. It's like kismet, lol. I'm sure you'll do great! Oh, and yes, pretty dresses are a great reward!

You can TOTALLY lose 10 lbs. in 5 weeks. Drink tons of water and cut down to 1200 - 1400 calories a day. Completely doable!! Stay positive and focus and you can do it! :-)

This is a great blog. You are so creative - I love the anniversary card. You mentioned a melt-down and I admire you for not letting it throw you off course.

You can do it and dresses are a great reward. My husband was going to hide the scale on me at one time becauase I would have a meltdown too. And he would say to me, "It's just one week. You know you're following the program. Relax." Yeah, right. But he is right, it's just one week and our bodies don't know what the heck we are doing. Good luck with your goals.

Don't stress too much about your weigh in, especially if you've been working out a lot. Sometimes out bodies need to adjust to a new workout schedule, and it's not the result we wanted. Keep drinking a lot of water and I bet this week if you keep up the good work, you'll have a much happier weigh in!

Hi, I am a new follower. Don't ask me how a got here. LOL Great blog you have here. I have lost over 200 pounds. It was not easy, but it is very doable. My goal now is to loose 40 pounds by August. My class reunion is then and I want to look my best then. I know you can do this. I didn't see anything about exercising. It was so hard for me when I was over 400 pounds. Just start off slow. Good luck !! :)
